Today I thought I'd share a technique I love, making my own Card Candy dots.
Similar plain circles can be purchased from craft stores, however I prefer to make my own, as I prefer them to be in exactly the same shade of card that I use on my project.
Start by grabbing any small circle punch and some card scraps. I find the Owl Builder punch has some perfectly sized circles for my projects.
Place on a soft mat (or back if any old foam backed mouse mat) and emboss with largest size ball tool for size of your circle. Don't worry, the card will appear creased or cracked around the edges, but this really won't matter.

Add a tiny piece of 3D foam pad and attach to your silicon mat. This raises it off the surface and will name the next step much easier.
Can you see the little cracks on the right if the picture above ? Then look at the glossy ones on the left and see how it really won't notice.
Next I have decanted some Crystal Effects #101055 from Stampin' Up! into a fine tip applicator bottle. The needle fine tip allows me to draw a circle of Crystal Effects round the outside edge and then fill in the entire circle. Depending on the card used, this will sometimes appear to soak into card and so acts as a good base coat. Allow to touch dry for about 15mins and repeat. Set aside to dry fully ~ I prefer to leave overnight if I can.
Happy craftin'
