SUBA - Spring Colour Combo

Hi and welcome to today's Blog Hop with Friends of SUBA, Simply Unique Business Angels, showcasing a Spring themed Colour Combination.

You may have just hopped over from Leigsha and her wonderful inspiration and now a very warm welcome here, currently visiting Sandra at my Stamp & Craft Studio here in Norfolk, UK.

Our colour combo today is Petal Pink, So Saffron and Garden Green.
Today I am using the Lovely Lattice stamp set #149730 which is one of the choices available from the Sale-A-Bration promotion until 31st March.
I stamped the floral image twice onto Whisper White card #106549, adding a sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad #132708 and then adding subtle background texture with the Pinewood Planks Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #143708.  The second image was coloured and then fussy cut by hand, adding a 3D dimension to my card and adding some Basic Pearl Jewels #144219 to the centre of some flowers.
There's something very therapeutic about watercolouring.  Here I used Petal Pink #147009, Garden Green #108605 and So Saffron #147109 ink pads. Here I've made it that little bit more special, using an old Wink of Stella #141897 as a waterbrush, adding a few drops of water and shaking to release some mica paint from the inside of the barrel and give my images a bit of sparkle.

SDBH - Birthdays

Welcome to our monthly Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Sandra from Norfolk, UK and I hope you enjoy todays creative projects, as you hop around the globe.  Our theme today is Birthdays and other than Christmas, this is probably the next most popular card theme !

Today I am sharing with you a birthday card that my Stamp-A-Stack class groups created last month and knew it would be ideal for today's birthday theme.

The card features the Piece of Cake bundle #150579.  This is one of the products you can buy individually Piece of Cake stamp set #148610 and Cake Builder punch #148525, however, purchasing as a bundle together you save 10%.

Sadly since I planned this, the punch is currently on back order.  However, we have been advised that it WILL be carrying over into the next Annual Catalogue release so when supplies are replenished, I'm sure we will be able to order once again.
My card has a Grey Granite case card #147008, with a mat layer of Lemon & Lime Twist card #144250 with Scattered Sequins Textured Embossing Folder #145649.
The topper uses a layer of Blueberry Bushell card #146991 and Very Vanilla card #106550.  I stamped the sentiment randomly in Grey Granite ink pad #147118 and also the base of the cake stand.

For the cake itself, I stamped image in Blueberry Bushell ink pad #147138 and punched both cake pieces with the Cake Builder punch.

The Vellum cardstock 106584 was punched using the Starburst punch #143717.
My close-up shows you the tiny green glimmer dots punched with the Handheld Circle punch #134365.  The dots were punched from scraps of a retired Myths & Magic Glimmer.  I love this colour and was so pleased to see it was the same used in the Incredible Like You Project Kit #148552.  This is a great technique for using scraps but hurry, because this handheld punch is on limited supply !

I hope you like my project today and will continue 'hopping' around the globe for more inspiration from my talented  Demonstrator colleagues.

Colour Combo Blog Hop - February

Hi and welcome back for another hop around the globe with Stampin' Up! Demos round the world, for our next Colour Combo challenge.

These really are a fabulous colour palette and my initial thoughts turned to Christmas.  However, I wanted to use the Lasting Lily stamp set from Sale-A-Bration for our Team Shoebox swaps at the weekend and so decided to use this combination.
The base card is Soft Sea Foam #147012 with a layer of Mossy Meadow card #133683 and Whisper White card #106549.
I used my Stamparatus #148187 to place the stamps perfectly and inked up the lily stamps from Lasting Lily #149717 using Poppy Parade ink pad #147050 and the stems in Mossy Meadow ink pad #147111.
The 'splodgy' looking stamp was stamped in Soft Sea Foam ink pad #147102 round all the four edges of the white layer, just catching a small edge and then attached to the Mossy Meadow mat layer.

The Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon #146912 was wrapped round the stamped panel, tying in a bow off to the side.

Lastly, the two shaped tags from the NEW Lily Framelits Dies #150071 were cut from Mossy Meadow and Soft Sea Foam and greeting was stamped in Mossy Meadow, layering the two together using Stampin' Dimensionals #104430.

I'm really loving this FREE stamp set from Sale-A-Bration, especially as 'hot of the press' news that we will shortly have some new Dies to co-ordinate with some of the SAB products.  Keep an eye here for release details.

I hope you have enjoyed my Colour Combo selection today  and enjoy hopping round the globe clicking on links below.  Click on the 'next' button below to hop to Pia and see what she has created for you today.
