CASE Challenge 16 - Embossed Card Sampler

Hello and welcome back for another CASE Challenge with my Demonstrator friends Emma and Becki.

Week 16 on the CASE challenge was  my turn to share my inspired post, this time choosing our Demonstrator colleague Cathy Proctor and her lovely embossing folder sampler. You can find Cathy's blog post HERE.

For my project today, I asked one of my dear and loyal friends (I call my 'adopted' Mum) for her favourite Christmas colours.  She loves traditional Real Red and Old Olive.
The embossing folders I've used are Softly Falling  #139672, Garden Trellis #143741 , Pinewood Planks #143708, Corrugated Dynamic #148026, Basket Weave #146841, Subtle #143706.
For my 2nd garden, I've done exactly the same but using small pieces of Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper #146921. Both sentiments are from Mistletoe Season #146768 and cluster of 'berries' are Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels #146924.
I love the totally different look done with the same theme and hope you have enjoyed seeing my projects today.

Remember to pop over and visit Becki HERE and then on to Emma HERE and see their take on today's challenge.

Next week we will be creating our inspiration from Carolyn and her creations.  You can see her blog HERE .

Pop back next Monday to see our inspired creations and also find out who is chosen as our spotlight designer for the following week.

Ink Share Share : November Blog Hop

Welcome back to our Ink, Stamp & Share Blog hop, joining myself here in Norfolk, UK and other fellow Demonstrator colleagues around the Globe.

For todays share, we are all creating Christmas Gift Packaging and I am sharing a co-ordinating set using the Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper #146768.
Firstly, I created another little box within a bag I made recently here.

The tag is a 1-3/4" circle punch #119850 in Whisper White card #106550.  Elements from Mistletoe Season stamp set #146768 were stamped in Real Red ink  pad #147084 and Garden Green ink pad #147089.  Hole was punched with 1/8" Handheld Circle punch #134365 and attached using Real Red 3/8" Mixed Satin Ribbon #147894.
My next project has been a firm favourite with my customers for several years, teaching all my November monthly clubs to create for their small Christmas  presents or table place setting gifts.  I love seeing the amazement on everyone's face when they finally complete !
Every year I have new customers wanting to make crackers and this year was no exception.
MINI CRACKER TUTORIAL
  1. Having previously cut my Designer Series Paper down to 6" squares (approximately 15cm), I took one piece and trimmed one edge to 11cm.
  2. With shortest edge at the top, score at 2.5cm, 5cm, 7.5cm and 10cm.
  3. With long edge at the top, score at 2.5cm, 3.5cm and 4.5cm from each end.
  4. Crease along each of these score lines using a Bone Folder #102300.
  5. Insert in Envelope Punch Board #133774 on the 3.5cm mark, where you have a score line already.  Punch at 3.5cm on each of the folded edges.  Repeat the other end of the cracker.
  6. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue #110755 along the narrow edge to create a tube.
  7. Tie one end of cracker with your choice of ribbon, insert contents and tie the other end with ribbon.
I hope you have enjoyed my projects today and perhaps create some of your own.

Papercraft Blog Hop - December Holidays

Welcome back to another hop around the globe with my fellow Demonstrators sharing projects with a 'December Holidays' theme.  You may be starting the hop with me or just arrived from someone else in the loop, but you won't want to miss anyone's inspiration, so I've listed everyone at the bottom of this post.

Today I am sharing projects I planned for this mornings 'Card & Cuppa'  event at Wymondham Library.  This is a community event, introducing local people to crafting using our wonderful Stampin' Up!  products.  A very new venture  for me and my small but growing group have enjoyed making a Christmas card and small gift item at each meeting.
Sadly, the Joyous Noel Speciailty Designer Series Paper have been so popular, it is not possible to receive additional supplies before the end of the catalogue so have had to be discontinued.  I was relieved to have ordered sufficient supplies for the last of my Festive Retreats so they will not be disappointed with their weekend projects.

We have however, been advised that the Sprig punch #148012 will be held over into future catalogues. I am so pleased as is so versatile.

The Merry Merlot card #147005 background has been  embossed using the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #147923.
My mini crackers were created using the Envelope Punch Board #133774, another of my favourite tools.  The instructions are already scheduled on another hop post  over the weekend, so pop back  for the measurements to create some quick gifts or table/tree decorations.

I hope you have enjoyed my December holidays themed project today and that  you enjoy the rest of your hop round the globe today.

Here are all the participants this month.  Simply click on the 'Next' button to hop to Tracey and continue along your hop around the globe.
