Alaska Achievers Blog Hop - Autumn/Winter catalogue

Welcome back for another Alaska Achievers Monthly Blog Hop with fellow Demonstrators globally, who all enjoyed their prestigious Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip in July this year, reaping the rewards of our hard work to achieve.

You join me, Sandra, here in Norfolk, UK and today we are here to share more products from the 2018 Autumn/Winter catalogue.
My base card is Shaded Spruce with Soft Suede and Whisper White layers.  A mask was applied from torn scrap paper to keep the snow 'clean'.  The sky was brayered using Blueberry Bushell ink and Sponge Brayers #141714, repeating until you get the shade of blue you want.  My landscape card was more of a night sky.

Leaving the mask in place, trees from Rooted in Nature stamp and Die bundle #148352 (W) #148353 with Shaded Spruce ink, were stamped along the horizon.

Removing the mask, I stamped the greeting and one deer in the middle/  Two additional deer were stamped and die cut from Dashing Deer #149934 (W) #149935 (C) using Soft Suede ink.
Sadly this will be the last Blog Hop with this years Achievers group.  The new year starting from 1st October will be with the Demonstrators who have achieved the Greek Isles Cruise in 2019.  I wish them all an enjoyable trip next year and will be watching their blog hops along the way and hope to join the achievers again in Maui 2020 !

Here is the list of this month's participants :-

I hope you've enjoyed my post today and perhaps inspired you to purchase a few products.  You will probably need to grab a cuppa and a notepad to start listing your favourite 'must-have's' whilst you 'hop' round the globe today!

Have fun !

CASE Challenge 7 - Colour Challenge card

I shared last week how delighted I am to take part in my first CASE Challenge with Emma and Becki.
Week 7 on the CASE challenge is inspired by the amazing  Bonnie O'Neill and her Colour Challenge cards.  You can check out her blog HERE.

To CASE Bonnie's card, I have chosen to use the delicate snowflakes and sentiment from Beautiful Blizzard #148565 (W) #148562 (C).
To complete this challenge, I used a Mellow Moss base card, with Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White layers. The White layer was stamped with cluster of snowflakes from Beautiful Blizzard in delicate Soft Sea Foam ink.  The same cluster of snowflakes was stamped on Soft Sea Foam panel to the right, using Mossy Meadow ink.

This gorgeous sentiment is also from Beautiful Blizzard stamped in Mossy Meadow on Soft Sea Foam card and matted onto a slightly larger piece of Mossy Meadow card.  I used the same 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon #144213 that Bonnie used.

Here is the Beautiful Blizzard bundle as it appears in the Autumn / Winter catalogue.  Remember by purchasing as a Bundle #147902, you save 10% on the individual purchase prices.

Our CASE Challenge next week is the card below, created by the wonderfully talented Michelle Zindorf.  You can click to her blog HERE for a closer look.

Before you head off, it's time to hop over to the lovely Becki @ HERE and see her lovely take on this week's CASE Challenge.

I hope you will join us back here next Monday to see our creations and find out who is chosen as our spotlight designer for the following week.

If you want to join in this challenge, feel free to CASE Michelle's lovely project, take a photo, which you can email me or upload to my Sandra's Stamp & Craft Studio Facebook page. I can't wait to see all the different versions we create together.  We’ll share the photos we receive in next Monday’s post.

Happy craftin'

Ink & Share Blog Hop : Anything But A Card

Welcome to another Ink & Share Blog Hop.  Todays theme is 'Anything But A Card'.  Much as I love making cards, I really enjoy making 3D and Home Décor projects, so was excited about todays hop.

You join me here in Norfolk, UK and my project today was partly inspired by Amy Combs whom I met on the Stampin' Up! Alaskan Cruise Incentive Trip recently.  She was one of the lucky attendees who had received some 'new' products from the Autumn/Winter catalogue and created projects for the 'Share Fair' on the ship.    I say 'partly' because I have used here banner idea but changed everything, except the dies used for the ovals and letters !

All the base panels were cut twice to 14.85 x 10.5cm, a standard size in the UK for card bases.  The 2nd piece neatly enclosed the ribbon on the reverse at the end of the project, whilst adding a bit of strength too.  I added an extra mat layer in Whisper White and then DSP layers were cut using the Joyous Noel Speciality Designer Series Papers #147816. Because of all the beautiful copper foil details on these papers, I have left this one quite plain and simple but have plans to use another of our suites and include more detail.

The scalloped ovals used the Layering Ovals Framelits #141706 and the Whisper White layer used the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits #145372.  The stars from Christmas Pines #142049 were stamped in Versamark #102283, covered in Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder #141636 and used Heat Tool #129054 to set, just to pick out some more of that copper in the papers.

All letters were cut in Copper from the new Joyous Noel 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper #147817, using the Large Letters Framelits #141712.  This alphabet Die set has such a wide variety of uses and is one I will never part with.
The base panels for 'N' were Merry Merlot card #147005.
The base panels for 'O' were Gray Granite card #147008.
The base panels for 'E' were Sahara Sand card #121695.
Finally, the base panels for 'L' were Tranquil Tide card #146948.

And I nearly forgot, they were all strung together on that gorgeous new Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8" Reversible Ribbon #147818.  I think I'm going to be getting through quite a bit of that !

I hope you have enjoyed my contribution today and that you continue 'hopping' along your journey round the globe, admiring the talent that fellow Demonstrators are sharing with you today.  Simply click on the 'Next' button to jump to Ginger's blog and the wonderful inspiration she has to share.
Here is the list of all this months participants, so be sure to stop round all the links.  We love to read your comments if you wish to stop and share what you love about our projects too.
