COLOUR COMBO BLOG HOP - March

Hi and welcome back for another hop around the globe with Stampin' Up! Demos round the world, for our next Colour Combo challenge.

When I create for a colour challenge, I start by getting out one sheet of each colour card, the Blends/marker pens and then see what inspires me.  Having recently worked with my some of my Team using the Painted Seasons stamp set and Country Floral Embossing Folder, these were still on my workdesk, so the blue, green and pinks in one of the Designer Series papers, inspired this card.
The base is a Pool Party tent style card.  A further mat layer of Pool Party was cut at 14.3cm x 10cm, with a diagonal slice cut out from the centre before embossing with the new Country Florals Textured Embossing folder.  This is currently one of my favourites, with its very deeply detailed design.
A Whisper White mat layer was stamped randomly with flowers in both Pool Party and Flirty Flamingo ink pads, Shaded Spruce leaves and Flirty Flamingo mini dots to fill in any gaps, before being stuck to the card front.
Two 0.5cm strips of Shaded Spruce card was added to the diagonal edges on both embossed pieces and then attached to card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Another Pool Party flower was stamped on a scrap of Whisper White card and Die cut using the new co-ordinating Four Seasons Framelits Dies.  This was then shaped slightly in the palm of my hand and adhered to card.  A few leaves were then die cut from Shaded Spruce card and tucked underneath the flower.

The centre of the flower had some Flirty Flamingo ink added to the centre with a Sponge Dauber  then Fine-Tip glue was applied to this flower centre, flicking out 'rays' from the centre, before sprinkling with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter ……...gotta love a bit of bling, and it totally changed the look of the flower !

Finally, a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink onto a scrap of Flirty Flamingo ink and tucked under the flower.

I loved the introduction of this newly released product bundle with stamp set and coordinating Designer Series Paper.  Dies were released for March only so here until the end of the month or while stocks last.  If you are wishing to make purchases, the sooner the better to make sure you get the FREE product you wish for as some are already selling out !
