JUST HAD TO HAVE A GO WITH THESE !!!

Evening fellow crafters

What a lovely day it's been again today, for the long Bank Holiday weekend. David has been out with our local Goldwing club, displaying our fabulous machines at a charity fund-raising event ...... and me, well, I stayed home with a couple of overnight visitors this morning and an afternoon home alone, crafting ......  a wonderful way to spend the day.

For my 'play-time' today I wanted to christen my Swirly Birds stamp set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.

My first card today was inspired by fellow Demonstrator and Artisan Design team member, Val Moody.  I'm really loving the NEW In-Colour Sweet Sugarplum. It teams up so well with Rich Razzleberry so I changed Val's colours and sentiment to create my first Swirly card.

For my next card, many of you won't be surprised with, knowing my love of Owls, especially those who have visited my wonderful Craft Studio.  So today I saw this Owl idea, shared by Bronwyn Eastley and I simply had to CASE with my own version.  I can't post link back to her as this was on a closed Demo only Facebook group, so I'm posting this screen shot of her inspiration.

This are my first creations using Swirly Bird stamps and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies from Stampin' Up! and I'm loving the endless possibilities that can be created.

Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribles Thinlit Dies  are a fabulous NEW product bundle available from Stampin' Up! after launch on 1st June.  Sorry I can't share link until after product goes live on 1st June, but the 24-piece stamp set and 9-piece Framelits as a bundle, saving you 10%, will be available under code #142353 for £42.25.  Sufficient to say it was one of our items on our Demo pre-order and it sold out temporarily, so think it's going to be very popular !

Pop back again soon as I have lots more ideas that have been flowing today.......

If you wish for a copy if the NEW Annual catalogue to be posted, please contact me.  After 1st June, the online catalogue will also be available by clicking my Online Shop below.

TISSUE BOX - Affectionately Yours Suite

Another paper from Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper pack, used today to bring Friday's Tissue box up-to-date with NEW Designer Series Papers available in the 2016/17  catalogue, from 1st June.

This is the project I designed for my ladies private class on Friday, learning three different way to create handmade flowers.  Here I have just used different sized scallop circle punches, cutting into a helter-skelter and rolling into small flowers.
The filigree leaves have been die cut from Botanical Builder Framelits and edges of flowers have been sponged with Night of Navy ink.

This box was made using the Ovals Collection Framelits #129381 but these will be retiring at the end of the month and replaced by a larger set of layering Framelits.

RETIRING PRODUCTS - Floral Tissue Box Cover

Lovely craft day today with some regulars, raiding my supplies to chose their own colour scheme for projects.  They found my Morning Mocha !!!!!!

The request was flowers but not on sticks/cards.  Here I used the retiring Spiral Floral Die and various scallop punches to 'roll' flowers three different ways.  Love these tissue boxes and decorated photo clips they made to accompany them.

So nice to welcome a potential new member of my Stampin' Up! team from the class too.

Want to know more about the fabulous recruitment offer for June, please get in touch with me.  Regular team meetings held in my Craft Studio and B&B facilities if required.

TWO-DRAWER GIFT BOX

With the launch of a NEW catalogue, it's time to set about updating some of my favourite projects, using NEW card and Designer Series Papers.

This was a gorgeous little box, I created using Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack, for each of our team travelling companions, attending Stampin' Up! On Stage event in April.  Inside, I added Thorntons chocolate in A7 size cello bags.

I'm loving this project updated using the NEW papers available from 1st June.

DEMO SWAP GROUP

Our May monthly Demo swap group was to create two cards, one something from 'old' catalogue but held over into the new catalogue, and one to create something 'new' from our pre-order products.

For my 'old' project, I used Butterfly Basics stamp set and Butterflies Thinlits Dies used at a recent 'Watercolour & Inks Technique class.  We filled an Aqua Painter with a supermarket sterilising liquid (bit kinder than bleach) and 'painted' the flowers, bleaching the colour from the card.  Different colours and brands react differently to the bleach but it's fun experimenting with the effect you like.  I would recommend washing out bleach from your Aqua Painter when you have finished for the day.  The sentiment is from Cottage Greetings.

attended the Stampin' Up! On Stage Local event in Telford last month and came home with a few free stamp sets from the 'new' catalogue. One of my team was very lucky to receive Baby Bear stamp set as her Prize Patrol and I was able to borrow it while she was on holiday 😉

This set is proving VERY popular, especially when crafters see them made up in 'real life' samples, drawing the L.O.V.E.

Here I have used Basic Gray, Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White cardstock. The Smoky Slate ink was stamped off for the first image, giving a lighter shade, with ink used neat on 2nd stamp and finally Basic Gray Archival for the 3rd stamp.  The same stamping-off technique was done with Sweet Sugarplum ink for bow tie and fussy cut by hand.

To finish off, I added some Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape and a narrow strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.  The sentiment was stamped from Thoughtful Banners stamped in Sweet Sugarplum ink and punched out using Duet Banner.

My next project with Baby Bear is making about 40 Thank You cards for sponsors helping with fundraising for our Teddy Bear Festival in July.  Then there is a Make & Take project for the Ted Fest Craft Fair, plus some to display and sell.  I think my set us going to be very busy when it arrives after 1st June.

TRIO OF CARDS - Affectionately Yours Suite

Today I'm sharing the first of my projects made with the NEW Affectionately Yours suite from Stampin' Up! 2016/17 Annual catalogue.

Here are my first trio of cards, together with co-ordinating handmade envelopes, created using the Envelope Punch Board.

CARD 1 - I used the co-ordinating Stampin' Write Markers to colour the raised image inside the Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, before passing through the Big Shot Die-Cutting machine.  The ink will be pressed into the de-bossed card, giving a lovely outline effect.

CARD 2 - These outline flowers were stamped, coloured with Blender pen squeezing ink from pad into lid as a palette, then 'fussy cut'.

CARD 3 - These outline flowers were stamped directly onto co-ordinating coloured card and 'fussy cut'.   The sentiment from the Love & Affection stamp set, was stamped using Versamark onto vellum cardstock, covered with Copper Embossing powder and heated, then wrapped round back of mat layer so no adhesive showing through vellum.

I've really enjoyed having some 'me' time and creating these cards, using gorgeous new Designer Series Papers.  Pop back soon to see what I create with other papers in the pack.

WATERCOLOUR & INKS CLASS

This is my favourite from today's repeat of my recent Watercolour & Inks class.  I know it may be wrong to have favourites, but it's only human nature to have preferences.

Ladies at both classes enjoyed playing with a variety of inking techniques, getting messy in the morning and making up some of their artwork into cards in the afternoon, with 'not-so-clean' ink stained fingers !

These are the types of classes I enjoy most, seeing fellow crafters learning new techniques, then playing & experimenting for themselves. One lady had never played with the shaving foam technique so, especially for her, we deviated from our schedule over lunch and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be a great messy project for her to do with the children at her church group !!

Due to popular demand, there will be a further of repeat of this class in June, so please get in touch if you fancy a messy day, trying out some new Watercolour & Ink techniques.

The flower used here is from Butterfly Basics and is available in Wood, Clear mount and Photopolymer.

ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER ....

Having not been able to make previous classes, Tracey was pleased to join us yesterday at my Craft Studio and finally make her wreath.

I love to see all the different colour combinations and here Tracey used Designer Series Papers she earned for FREE during Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration 2016.

Being able to hold classes at home, I always encourage customers to book a mutually convenient  date to repeat classes they were unable to attend previously.

If you've missed a class or just fancy popping in for a cuppa, give me a call. There's always something here to share with you, for a Make & Take.  Can't guarantee there's always cake though ... unless you met me know couple of days before.
