Today I'm back with my fellow Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, sharing our creativity globally through our Kre8tors Blog Hop group.
Our theme this month is a "Colour Challenge", taking our inspiration from the picture and colours listed in the image below.
Our theme this month is a "Colour Challenge", taking our inspiration from the picture and colours listed in the image below.
My project today, I decided to create a card using Wild Wasabi, Berry Burst
and Powder Pink, adding Basic Black and Whisper White as my Neutrals.
I started with an A6 base from Basic Black cardstock #121688.
My first mat layer was Berry
Burst cardstock #144249 and then Whisper
White layer #106549.
The Whisper White layer was textured using the NEW Basket Weave Textured Embossing Folder,
featured recently in the Sale-A-Bration FREE products and has been confirmed as
carrying over to the NEW 2018/19 Annual Catalogue being released on 1st
June.
My sentiment on this card was from One Big Meaning #138788 (W) #139420 (C) which was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink #140931,
mounted on a Wild Wasabi layer and attached to the base card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals #144108.
Leaves from Painted
Harvest #144783, were stamped four times using Wild Wasabi ink pad #126959 and punched using Leaf Punch #144667, both of which are currently still available to order,
having carried over from the Autumn/Winter 2017 catalogue.
For the little flowers, I chose the smallest flower from Beautiful Bouquet stamp set #143666. These were inked up firstly with Powder Pink ink pad #144084 and, using
a Sponge Dauber #133773 and Berry Burst ink pad #144083, the
outside edges of the flower stamp were gently tapped with the darker colour,
very much like the ‘Rock N Roll’ technique, to create a two-tone effect, before
stamping onto Whisper White cardstock.
These were then die-cut using Bouquet
Bunch Framelits Dies #143659.
To finish my card, I added some of the smallest Rhinestone Basic Jewels #144220 to the centre of the small flowers.
I hope you have been inspired by these products and projects I've shared with you today. We do really appreciate reading your lovely comments on our posts.
