Hi and welcome back to another hop around the globe with Stamp 'N Hop blog hop ! My name is Sandra and you are joining me here, from Norfolk, UK.
This month we are featuring our favourite products from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue which are sadly retiring shortly, to make way in the Warehouse for lots of lovely brand new products available from the 1st June. If you see something you love along your 'hop' today, be quick to snap up with your own Demonstrator as soon as possible, as products are 'whilst stocks last'.
I am featuring Birthday Blooms #140655 (W) #140658 (C), a beautiful set to watercolour, but having lent out to a fellow team member recently, I was pleased to play with it again.
My cards today have also used retiring colours Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi.
Taking inspiration from our catalogue, I chose colours for the 'men' in our lives, stamping the floral images as a watermark in the same Chocolate Chip as the base card. The image was stamped again on a scrap of card in Versamark ink pad #102283 with Gold Embossing powder #109129, heating with Heat Tool #129054. After colouring Aqua Painter coordinating inks, the image was 'fussy cut' by hand.
The background was lightly coloured in with a mild bleach solution in an Aqua Painter #103954. Make sure if you are doing this, to use a permanent ink not the waterbased one !
This card was designed more for a 'female' friend, keeping the same colours light and delicate, in Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi.
Here is a close up image of the floral images, adding dainty dots from the stamp set around the edges of the 3D floral image.
I hope you have enjoyed hopping with me today. Please now continue to Laura HERE and see the fabulous projects she had to share with you.
