HOME DECOR S.U. STYLE - August Blog Hop

No automatic alt text available.
Here we are back again with another hop around the globe.  I've had my eye on this recycling Home Décor project I wanted to create for a while and am really pleased how it turned out.  I hope you enjoy it too !

To start with, I had purchased some grapes in a local supermarket and instead of a cardboard box, was pleased to find an MDF box …….. a perfect candidate to be creative with !

So I set about transforming this ……
To this ………
To get this 'transformation', I have used Gray Granite Ink pad #147118 with Hardwood Background stamp (C) #133035.  I am a Wood mount person really, however, since Stampin' Up! introduced Mixed Media products, I find the large background stamps are better as Clear Mount.  I don't use them mounted on blocks, just ink as they are and 'mould' to the project I'm creating.
I have just given a basket of fruit from trees at the bottom of our garden, to a lovely customer who dropped in for a cuppa on her way back from hospital appointment.  Feeling a bit Autumnal and thinking of harvest festivals, I decided on the gorgeous Daisy Delight stamp set #143669 and coordinating Daisy Punch #143713.

I stamped and punched six sets of daisies in Daffodil Delight ink pad #147094 onto Daffodil Delight cardstock #121680.  The daisy centres were 1/2" Circle Punch #119869 from scraps of Early Espresso cardstock #121686.  Thee were embossed using the heaviest end of Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #139672.  Leaves were stamped in Mossy Meadow ink #147111 onto Mossy Meadow cardstock #133683.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my project today, all ready for it's next recipient, and perhaps even inspired to create something similar yourself.

Enjoy the rest of your hop round the globe today and the other fabulous inspiration my fellow Demonstrators have to share with you.
